This year’s Conference Team has put together an exciting weekend for all Suzuki teachers, parents and students. This will take place Saturday, November 5th and Sunday, November 6th in Barrie, Ontario, about an hour drive north of Toronto.
For Students on Saturday…
We have put together a wonderful day of Arts-related activities. There will be a Gala Concert, a drama presentation, theater classes, Master Classes in a variety of musical instruments and even a magic show for the little ones.
For Parents on Saturday…
There will be a Parent Talk with our Keynote Speaker Allen Lieb. Childcare will be provided. The highlight will be the Gala Concert Saturday afternoon where you will be able to see Suzuki students and teachers from across our great province perform on a variety of instruments. A family friendly lunch will be provided.
For Teachers on Saturday and Sunday…
On Saturday there is a chance to observe Master Classes being taught, the Gala Concert, Parent Talk and a Wine and Cheese Meet and Greet later in the evening. On Sunday there is a full agenda of Conference activities, including a full hot and cold buffet lunch.
We hope to see as many Suzuki teachers, parents and students as possible at this year’s SAO Conference. It is a wonderful opportunity for the Ontario Suzuki community to come together to celebrate our unique heritage.
Please fill out the applicable two separate Application Forms for the Saturday and Sunday conference activities and mail them to the Conference Team Treasurer by October 1st, 2011. Note that there is an early bird draw for those who get their applications in before September 1st. Please make out all cheques to the “Suzuki Association of Ontario”.
